Plot twist: DD, Track, Weekend, Rally. Nobody has to be burned!

I’d daily the Buick
Track the Volare
Weekend the Cordoba
Rally the Matador (Ole!)

My parents had a Dodge Aspen that was almost identical to that Volare right down to the rear window covers. The main difference was that my parents’ car had the 318 instead of the six. If this car is anything like that car burning it would be the only smart thing to do.

Daily the Buick
Track the Volare
Weekend the Matador
Rally the Cordoba (even though it’s not equipped with soft Corinthian leather).

I didn’t even notice that it was a slant six. It’d need a 318/340/360 swap.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 00:53 |
|
Um.... Burn all of them?
![]() 04/18/2016 at 00:53 |

The Cordoba looks too nice to rally. Besides the AMC is already mud colored.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 00:54 |

DD the AMC, weekend the Cordoba until it breaks (grandad had one new, was a POS), Track the Buick, rally the Plymouth
![]() 04/18/2016 at 00:54 |

daily drive
track
weekend
rally
![]() 04/18/2016 at 00:55 |

I’m not sure the AMC is reliable and common enough of a platform to rally.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 00:57 |
|
Hey now. I’m no fan of a lot of 70's-80's junk, but these 4 are pretty neat.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 00:58 |
|
I’m a big fan of those LeSabre sport coupes!!!! SO DD that one, for sure
Track the roadrunner
Weekend Cordoba
Rally Matador
![]() 04/18/2016 at 00:59 |
|
Not necessarily how the game works, but good choices.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:00 |

Ehhh... Saying they're neat is about all they are, and the volare and matador are 110% hideous. Buick at least looks decent but the trade off is malaise era GM engineering.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:03 |

The most daring of DD choices, I respect that.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:09 |

gimmie dat Buick
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:09 |
|
The Buick is a GNX (turbo 3.8) in disguise. I quite like the Volare in a Mustang II King Cobra kind of way. The Matador is ugly, but unique.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:11 |

DD the AMC.
Burn the Buick.
Track the Cordoba.
Rally the Road Runner.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:12 |

It’s scary clean for that era. I love that it’s basically a more subdued T-Type/GNX.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:13 |
|
You’re broken. The Buick is the best one.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:14 |

DD the Cordoba
Track the LeSabre
Weekend the Matador
Rally the Volare
I love all of these and have wanted a Chrysler F body for a long time.
Available with a 360 V8 and a 4 speed, coupes started out at about 3200 lbs.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:15 |

I’m not broken, I’m just slightly scratched & bent.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:20 |

I was torn between the Cordoba and Buick for DD. The Volare is definitely cool in a Mustang II King Cobra way. A built 360 in the Volare would be pretty cool (it’s only a slant six).
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:21 |
|
Just like the AMC. It makes perfect sense now, carry on :)
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:27 |
|
hmmm, Mustang 2 Cobra
440 Will slide right into Volaire as well
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:31 |

Needs more snake!
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:36 |

DD: Buick
Track: Matador
Cruise to the strip club on the weekends: Cordoba
Burn: Plymouth
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:37 |

Needs more Wayne Wong
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:39 |

Yes.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 01:41 |

Exactly

I need that so badly. In 77 the Aspen with the 360 was faster to 60 than a Corvette or Trans Am. But nobody remembers them.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 02:16 |
|
No idea why (maybe it’s the great photography) but I have a strange need for that LeSabre right now. Great color, excellent condition, but I still wouldn’t pay 15K for a ‘70s GM product even if it is GNX underneath.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 02:25 |
|
$7-11k and I’d be all about it. $15k is a hair much. I want it desperately.

That Buick is a collector. I’d rock it. Makes me yearn for my ‘78 Olds Regency.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 03:57 |
|
Late ‘70s and ‘80s car prices are skyrocketing for clean examples. Many young professionals who are starting to accumulate disposable income grew up in cars from this era, myself included.
I’ve been itching for an 82-85 Buick Riviera....
![]() 04/18/2016 at 06:46 |
|
With ya there. Not normally a big fan of 70's oversize cars. Don’t like it enough though to pay that price. You need to be a really dedicated fan to pay that price.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 08:25 |
|
Well, fair enough.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 14:18 |

that volare is pretty sweet, i didn’t read the craiglist for it but a nice fresh 360 in that or some RV engine with cam would make for a sick ride.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 18:43 |
|
It’s a slant 6 so a 318/340/360 would be in order.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 19:57 |

the Buick: track, image that lowered a bit, with some meaty tires at all four corners, with some front and rear spoilers.
Volare: Rally, it just looks like it’s meant for it.
AMC: DD, it looks so odd, and the seats look so couchy, how could you not want to drive it every day
Chrysler: Weekend, style like that is meant for Saturday nights
![]() 04/18/2016 at 20:02 |

Well we agreed on 50% of the answers.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 20:04 |

We’re a 100% match, wanna go out for a beer on Saturday, in our Cordobas?
![]() 04/18/2016 at 20:16 |
|
If they start.
![]() 04/18/2016 at 22:28 |

You get it.
I do like the subdued look of the Buick though. It’d make a hell of a sleeper.
